League-Start Boss Killer - Ancestral Warchief Champion Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
Passive Skill Tree
You can find an optimized Path of Building here (This build shouldn’t go past 80-82 generally – If it does, pick up whatever Life or Damage nodes you can find – It really wont matter anymore to Farm Lab at that point). Every build I release will use the community fork of Path of Building, which is maintained and updated in a much more regular fashion than the original one. You can find PoB’s Fork, by LocalIdentity, here.
If you are not comfortable with Path of Building, we also have a PoePlanner for you. Do note that PoE Planner does not support Cluster Jewels and some specific unique jewels and it is highly recommended you install Path of Building to follow builds most optimally.
Gem Links
Ancestral Warchief – Main Link
Getting a 5-Linked Warchief is generally enough to beat the lab on the first day. However, the 6th link is quite a significant chunk of damage, so it should be one of your first (and honestly only) upgrades!
- Ancestral Warchief
- Multiple Totems Support
- Melee Physical Damage Support
- Brutality Support
- Ruthless Support
- Fortify Support
Auras
The build runs two auras, Pride for more damage and a fairly high leveled Vitality for some really nice extra flat Regeneration. This helps you mitigate trap damage while Leap Slamming through them, as well as helps you to recover life in the Izaro room when you get hit.
Leap Slam to zoom through Lab
As mentioned, Leap Slam becomes incredible on the weapon swap! Because it is this fast, and Mana cannot sustain this, you’re running a ###item:Blood-MAgic-Support###. If you have not yet completed the Uber Lab, and have chosen not to pick up Fortitude yet, make sure to link a Fortify Support here so you somehow do get Fortify before picking up the Ascendancy node.
- Leap Slam
- Faster Attacks Support
- ###item:Blood-magic-support###
- Fortify Support (optional – until Uber Lab)
Additional Gems / Sockets
From here on out, the only gem I would say is required is Vulnerability, which you want to manually cast after putting your totems down on Izaro. This will add tremendous amounts of damage so don’t forget it! The rest of your gems can, if you want to optimally make use of them, have any combination of the following gems!
- Steelskin (preferably on Left Mouse button)
- Enduring Cry (extra life per second & Endurance Charges)
Otherwise, there isn’t much useful you could be doing, so you don’t even require to fully socket your gear at the start!
