Blade Blast Bladefall Poison Assassin PoB, Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
IMPORTANT PoB NOTES
The PoB community fork created by Localidentity is the only version being kept up to date, so make sure you have the correct version: PoB Community Fork.
END GAME PoB & PASSIVE SKILL TREE
This build is extremely straightforward tree-wise. Budget-friendly versions include 0 Cluster Jewels, due to how volatile they are in terms of crafting difficulty and due to how expensive they can be.
Here is the Blade Blast Bladefall Poison Assassin PoB:
In the PoB you can spot a cluster jewel set-up if you wish to go that route, however I chose to stay with the “low-budget” tree and rather focus on upgrading my gear when it comes to higher budget versions of this build.
Once the skill-tree is finished, just focus entirely on more jewel sockets or cluster jewels, if you can afford it.
LEVELING PROGRESSION
Depending on if you’re playing Hardcore or Softcore, you will have to adjust your routing based on how good the gear you find is. An example is that if you have lots of Life & Resistance from drops you get during the Acts, you can focus on taking the damage-providing nodes over the defensive ones and vice versa.
MASTERIES
A lot of the masteries available comes down to a matter of personal preference but some are more or less mandatory.
Life Mastery: “+50 to maximum life” crucial node to pick up as soon as you hit the life mastery cluster
Chaos Mastery: “+1% to chaos damage over time multiplier per 4 chaos resistance” this will help you scale your poison DoT’s as long as you have positive chaos resistances which will put some pressure on your gearing to have
Reservation Mastery: “Auras from your skills have 10% increased effect on you” This helps us get both a little bit more damage output and defensive layers from our auras.
Physical Mastery: “Skills that leave Lingering Blades have 20% chance to leave two Lingering Blades instead of one & Skills that leave a Lingering Blade have +10 to maximum Lingering Blades” this is an absolutely insane node as we are chain-reaction exploding Lingering Blades to hit as many times as possible. Seeing as the way we spawn Lingering Blades & that this mastery node is based of 20% it is rather impossible for us to verify exactly how much damage we gain from this node
Poison Mastery: “poisons you inflict deal damage 20% faster” The build is designed entirely around stacking poison on enemies so this mastery node will be crucial to pick up
Evasion Mastery: “100% increased evasion rating from your body armour” once you move away from Tabula Rasa and get yourself a proper chest piece for the end-game you’ll want to pick this node up to further scale the evasion rating from your new chest piece
Evasion Mastery: “Grace has 25% increased mana reservation efficiency” This node is extremely important as we will not be able to reserve all our auras without it
LEVELING GEMS & LINKS
On the main page you can read about how you level the build up to level 38, as that’s when we get Unleash Support which will be combined with Bladefall. This combination allows for Blade Blast to deal significant amount of damage, making leveling the remaining portion of the Acts a breeze.
END GAME GEM LINKS
6-Link Blade Blast
It is crucial that you have increased area of effect in this link set-up, since we are exploding lingering blades on the ground and we want as many of these explosions to overlap enemy bosses as possible.
- Blade Blast
- Increased Area of Effect Support
- Critical Strike Affliction Support
- Unbound Ailments Support
- Deadly Ailments Support
- Void Manipulation Support
3-Link Utility
This set-up has Blood Rage as a Frenzy Charge generator for lower budget builds, and the remaining 2 links are there to give you a boost in terms of clear speed efficiency.
The Plague Bearer is there to be used when you have max stacks of it and linked with increased area of effect will increase the effective clear speed it brings to the table.
3-Link Wither Totems
The Wither totem set-up is very straightforward and looks like this:
This provides a debuff on enemies making them take more chaos damage which includes the damage dealt by our Poisons.
4-Link Bladefall
The bread & butter of the build needs carefully chosen support gems for the Bladefall ability.
This combination allows for optimal amount of lingering blades spawned by the ability as well as making sure they are as close to your target as possible which increases the efficiency of our Blade Blast when we proceed to explode the blades.
4-Link Auras
We’ll be using Grace to ramp up our Evasion rating on top of our offensive auras, due to the changes in 3.19 we do need a level 3 enlighten support here:
3-Link Mobility
This is where our mobility skills ends up,
Herald of Agony
If you have the reservation available you can get more damage with a Herald of Agony
