Boss Impaler - Spectral Throw Champion Ascendancy, Bandits & Pantheons
Ascendancy (Duelist – Champion)
Inspirational
As you’re supposed to be leveling with twink gear, none of the early Ascendancy nodes matter much. Hence, we opted to pick up Inspirational first, as it offers you some additional movement speed to use while leveling. Late game, this offers you some very reasonable Life Regeneration, a free of Mana reservation Banner, Movement Speed, and some Aura Effect! Pretty solid notable overall.
Master of Metal
As mentioned, because I assume you’re playing in a twink gear world, I expect you to beat both Uber and Merciless lab rather convincingly. Therefore, you can delay your tanky stats for those two last Labyrinths. Master of Metal is the reason why you pick the Champion Ascendancy, as it adds a ton of Physical Damage for each Impale on the enemy. Additionally, it offers you the same modifier as the Watcher's Eye we said was so good, which both scale us up tremendously. Master of Metal equates to about 60% More Damage.
Unstoppable Hero
Unstoppable Hero is a weird node, as it is in front of its enabler rather than the other way around. When you get to this node, make sure to link a Fortify Support somewhere (to your Leap Slam for example) so you can actually get Fortify while you haven’t gotten your last Ascendancy point yet. This provides you with some solid defenses and offenses whilst granting you Stun Immunity, but basically this is just a travel node to guarantee Fortitude’s permanent Fortify.
Fortitude
Well, there isn’t much to say about Fortitude. Sure, you could get Fortify otherwise, but getting it unconditionally, all the time is really solid. It’s a 20% Damage Reduction which is better than any other Ascendancy gives in the game as far as I know. It really helps the otherwise squishy build take a hit left and right.
Bandits
There really only is one option here. You want to help Alira for the Critical Strike Multiplier and the Resistances. Capping Resistances without her is too hard and we’re pretty happily accepting some Crit Multiplier too!
Pantheons
Major Gods
Soul of Lunaris is probably your best pick. No one has ever said no to some extra Physical Damage Reduction!
Minor Gods
I would recommend Soul of Shakari here as Chaos damage over time can be fairly lethal. The other options don’t really offer us much. The only other real contender would be upgraded Ralakesh to avoid being Blinded and Maimed. Either works, but Ralakesh has to be upgraded before it becomes any useful!
Upgrading your Pantheons
Whilst upgrading your Pantheons never hurts you, it’s not that important for this character. If you have nothing else to do at some point, sure, why not, but it shouldn’t be something you focus on or spend a lot of time on.
Pantheon powers can be upgraded by using Divine Vessel in the Map Device while you are activating the particular Map that contains the boss you need. Once you’ve killed the boss and captured his soul, you need to deliver the Divine Vessel, which’ll be filled up in the map device, to Sin in Oriath.
