Chaos DoT Occultist Ascendancy, Bandits & Pantheon Powers
ASCENDANCY
The most optimal way to play this build leaves very little choices when it comes to the Ascendancy nodes, which I will cover in this section of the guide.
MY PREFERRED SET-UP
The ascendancy nodes are listed in order of importance (and tied to the way you need to travel to access them).
- Void Beacon
- Withering Presence
- Profane Bloom
- Malediction
Void Beacon
Void Beacon simple & effectively reduces enemies chaos resistances
Withering Presence
Withering Presence This node increases our chaos damage significantly as well as increasing our chaos resistance which combined with the Chaos Mastery nodes further enhances our damage output
Profane Bloom
Profane Bloom Allows us to curse hexproof enemies but most importantly we are able to explode cursed enemies providing not just safety against porcupines but we get to witness some absolutely amazing explosion effects on screen
Malediction
Malediction enables us to curse enemies with 2 curses rather than 1 as well as increasing the efficiency of our curses. Besides this the ascendancy node also applies a debuff called Malediction on the enemies making them both deal less damage as well as take increased dmage.
BANDITS
You will kill all of the bandits, as they provide no significant gains worthy of losing the skill points for.
PANTHEON
As with most builds these comes down to a matter of personal taste. I for one, love adding the Brine King Major God to avoid being chain stunned.
I tend to lean towards the Shakari Minor God pantheon to mitigate some chaos damage taken.
