Earthquake Juggernaut Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
Passive Skill Tree
Click here for our recommended Level 100 Passive Skill Tree.
Notes on the Passive Skill Tree:
- Scoop up Resolute Technique immediately to ensure you are not missing any Earthquakes
- Prioritize Warcry related notables as soon as you have access to Seismic Cry
- Call to Arms is optional — try with and without and choose based on your preference
- Prioritize Axe and Physical damage nodes while leveling and start enhancing your bleed as you enter the latter half of the leveling process
- Leave Jewel sockets for the 90s unless you have high quality Jewels ready to socket
- Adamant is the lowest priority node on the tree
- Balance your defenses and acquire more Life and Endurance charges as you need them
- Nodes above Resolute Technique (Large Jewel socket, Devotion, Endurance, and Jewel Socket) are optional and be left for last or used as points for a Cluster Jewel
Crimson Dance is entirely optional but provides noticeably better single target damage in the late game. Playing without Crimson Dance gives your Earthquake a single powerful bleed, which can be advantageous for clear if enemies survive your Earthquake/Aftershock combo. Crimson Dance offers much higher bleed dps, which is great for bosses and tanky rares, but the bleed off of a single Earthquake is less. You can somewhat compensate for this by properly using Vaal Earthquake to quickly stack your Crimson Dance. There are advocates for both sides of this coin, but our recommendation is to play with Crimson Dance.
Path of Building
This PoB will provide you with a good outline of the build Path Of Building.
Included are all the skill trees, recommended gear, and an example set of mid-level gear with room for upgrades. For simplicity’s sake, Resistances have been left out and you should fill them out yourself based on what gear is available.
We use the Path of Building Community Fork for all of our builds, which is highly recommended. If you are encountering errors importing the build, please ensure you are using the Community Fork.
Gem Links
Vaal Earthquake 6-Link
- Vaal Earthquake
- Less Duration Support
- Awakened Brutality Support
- Awakened Melee Physical Damage Support
- Fist of War Support
- Fortify Support
Auras 5-Link and Blood Rage
- Pride
- Enlighten Support (Level 3 / 4)
- War Banner
- Maim Support
- Flesh and Stone
You’ll also want to include Blood Rage in the item that contains this linkage, but it gains no benefit from being linked and prevents the necessity for a second 6-Link in your build.
Warcry 4-Link
Mobility 4-Link
The fourth gem in this link is a matter of preference. It could be used for a golem, a Portal gem, a Decoy Totem, or anything that you like to incorporate into your build to improve quality of life. Our default recommendation is:
Defensive or Offensive 4-Link
Choose one of these two links. Players looking to map more heavily and delve deeper should lean towards the defensive linkage, while players who are looking to add a little more single target damage for late-game bosses such as Awakener might prefer the offensive option instead. Both are perfectly viable choices, though our default recommendation for most players is the defensive option.
Defensive Molten Shell 4-Link
- Molten Shell (Level 20)
- Cast when Damage Taken Support (Level 20)
- Enduring Cry
- Increased Duration Support
Offensive Vaal Ancestral Warchief 4-Link
- Vaal Ancestral Warchief
- Awakened Brutality Support
- Awakened Melee Physical Damage Support
- Ruthless Support
If your weapon does not having Culling Strike (as shown in the Path of Building and in the gear section) then you should replace Ruthless Support with Culling Strike Support in this link.
