Lightning Strike Raider Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
Passive Skill Tree and PoB Link
This is the Endgame Goal Passive Skill Tree for the build.
You can find the Path of Building for the Endgame Goal right here. This PoB was created using the PoB Community Fork, managed by LocalIdentity. If you are using the official Path of Building, developed by OpenArl, you might not be able to access all the relevant information. We recommend switching over to the Community Fork for the best experience.
This is the Leveling Passive Skill Tree for the build. Try to aim to pick up these nodes FIRST, before moving onto the Endgame Goal Tree. Also make absolutely sure you have picked up the one Poison Chance node on the bottom right corner. It’s imperative for the Crit Immunity to function.
Gems
Lightning Strike will be our signature skill, which should ideally be used in a 6-Link. For mobility, you should use Whirling Blades. Blood Rage is an offensive buff that should be active all the time once you have enough Life Regeneration to sustain it.
Your ideal buff setup looks like this: Grace, Herald of Ice, Precision and Defiance Banner. If you want to opt into more single-target over clear-speed, replace Herald of Ice with Anger.
For all the gem links we provide below, keep in mind that we list the gems in order of priority, meaning that if you lack the required number of sockets to fit all the gems, the first ones to drop are the ones at the bottom. Also note that in-game, as long as the sockets are linked, it makes no difference at all what order the gems are placed in.
Lightning Strike (6-Link)
Lightning Strike is a melee attack with a ranged/projectile component. We focus on scaling untyped damage modifiers, rather than melee or projectile fosued ones, as they will apply to everything. We recommend one link that works great for both clearing and single target.
- Vaal Lightning Strike (level 12)
- Ancestral Call Support (level 4)
- Added Cold Damage Support (level 8) for damage
- Added Lightning Damage Support (level 8) for damage
- Multistrike Support (level 38) for damage/speed
- Elemental Damage with Attacks Support (level 18)
For your end-game setup, the following will likely be our best-in-slot gem setup:
- Lightning Strike
- Trinity Support
- Awakened Added Lightning Damage Support
- Awakened Multistrike Support
- Ice Bite Support OR Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks Support
- Nightblade Support
Vigilant Strike (3-Socket)
Vigilant Strike will be our main-provider for Fortify Support. Due to the 3.16 changes, we need to link it with a couple of damage links to get the full benefit, but hopefully a 3-link will suffice for this.
- Vigilant Strike
- Ancestral Call Support
- Added Cold Damage Support (can later be replaced by Ice Bite Support for a marginal increase in damage)
Whirling Blades (3-Link)
Whirling Blades is your main mobility skill which will let you dodge lethal game mechanics and make you more time-efficient in general, by allowing you to cover great distances very rapidly.
CWDT-Setup (4-Link)
- Withering Step (level 10)
- Increased Duration Support (level 20)
- Cast when Damage Taken Support (level 3)
- Immortal Call (level 5)
Other Gems
Grace, Herald of Ice, Precision will be your perfect aura setup. Feel free to include an e Enlighten Support to free up more mana if necessary. If you want to opt into more single-target over clear-speed, replace Herald of Ice with Anger.
Blood Rage should be active all the time. Make sure to pick up a Poacher's Mark as soon as possible (“Lost in Love” Act 3), to greatly enhance your single-target damage during leveling and early-maps. Later on you can remove it from your setup.
Simply mark the boss you’re fighting and you’ll have a WAY easier time, as it provides a great deal of flat damage, overwhelm and life/Mana on hit throughout the fight.
