TbXie's Winter Orb Hierophant Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links (PoE Necropolis)
Passive Skill Tree, PoB, and Gem Links
You can find an optimized Path of Building here. Every build I release will use the community fork of Path of Building, which is maintained and updated in a much more regular fashion than the original one. You can find PoB’s Fork, by LocalIdentity, here.
If you are not comfortable with Path of Building, PoePlanner’s website offers you a non-PoB alternative to import the code from the above link. Do note that this does not have the same amount of Support as Path of Building has and it is highly recommended you install Path of Building to follow builds most optimally.
Progression Advice
This build is best levelled as non Winter Orb. You can use a generic Cold leveling build to get to maps.
Gem Links
Winter Orb (Main Link)
Obviously, you can forego Awakened gems when you have no currency for them.
Winter Orb
Increased Critical Strikes Support
Awakened Greater Multiple Projectiles Support
Power Charge On Critical Support
Increased Critical Damage Support
Awakened Added Cold Damage Support ( Hypothermia Support does beat a non-awakened version of added cold)
Aura Setup
The build’s setup accounts for a level 3 Enlighten. If you can’t get a hold of that, you’ll need to drop your Precisions level even further. When/If you have an Enlighten level 4, and an Anomalous Precision, it should be able to be leveled to 20.
- Herald of Ice (21/20)
- Increased Area of Effect Support
- Increased Critical Strikes Support
- Awakened Added Cold Damage Support
Tip: To maximize Herald of Ice’s clear, you can buy a corrupted +1 Gems pair of boots & socket it in there.
This is used by pressing the Divine Blessing button whenever the duration times out.
This will put you at roughly 45% life, which, in combination with the Life Mastery will activate low life. If you’re feelling unconfortable mapping, you can put Vitality on Mana and Precision on this link. You can then level up the precision just enough to get to 55%. You will however have less regen but more actual healthpool which is probably better against mistakes but less strong against unavoidable incoming damage.
Remaining Sockets
I would always run a Flame Dash to be even more mobile. This leaves you with 2 open sockets. I personally opted for Cast on Death Support and Portal setup. When running juiced content, you will eventually & ocassionally die. Being able to just jump back in where you left is an incredible gain in clearspeed for most builds! Obviously, you’re free to use any of the other options.
You could for example drop the Increased Duration on your Haste in favour of a 3-link Curse: Vortex Hextouch Support Enfeeble. You could also just run Vortex linked to Bonechill Support for an increase in damage. I honestly didn’t feel the need for either of these and was just happy with being able to jump back into a map instantly. As I was farming super hard content, I used 1.5 portals on average per map, and still gained a ton of exp so I didn’t really mind.
