Included in the Path of Building are skill trees and all gem links. For simplicity’s sake, Elemental Resistances are not included on gear, and you can fill them in as you like depending on available gear.

We use the Path of Building Community Fork for all of our builds, which is highly recommended. If you are encountering errors importing the build, please ensure you are using the Community Fork.

Passive Skill Tree

There is no single super important Notable skill for this build. Instead, it collects Physical Damage over Time multipliers, life, and reservation efficiency. Eventually, it moves into two clusters and takes gem sockets, but that is something that happens later on in the progression.

We strongly recommend leveling this build as something other than Corrupting Fever, especially if you do not yet have The Poet's Pen.

Gems

Corrupting Fever is our main skill and the only essential five-link in the build. Yes, you read that right. This build does not utilize a six link, as there is no truly worthwhile sixth link for the skill.
The auras we run in this build are a combination of Pride Pride, Malevolence, Vitality, Tempest Shield and War Banner.

Flame Dash Serves as our main way of getting out of dodge when needed.

Corrupting Fever

We have placed the Empower last in this link, as it is not going to be super available early on. The good news is the build can manage very well through whites and yellows before really starting to want its empower. The best recommendation we can make for the sixth socket is Item Rarity Support, but I would not let this possibility affect gearing choices.

Kinetic Blast

We will ideally want the blue gem in this link to be a white socket, so that we can swap out KB for Frenzy Frenzy on bosses later on. This is not a priority until you start doing pinnacle bosses, and should not at all matter during map progression.

Triggers

This will display the links assuming The Poet's Pen. Until you have this, you run a Spellslinger in place of Controlled Destruction Support.

Aura Link

You should feel free to swap Malevolence with Determination if you feel your damage is fine and you would prefer more tank.

Early on you will have a Vulnerability gem slotted in a Mark of Submission, that will later be replaced by a Warlords Influenced ring with Vuln on Hit.
