Death's Oath Occultist Ascendancy, Bandits, and Pantheon Powers
ASCENDANCY
Occultist doesn’t provide a lot of free options. I will list them all and describe their perks but, in my opinion, you should not deviate from the recommended nodes.
MY PREFERRED SET-UP
The ascendancy nodes are listed in order of importance and tied to the way you need to travel to access them.
- Void Beacon
- Withering Presence
- Profane Bloom
- Unholy Authority
Void Beacon
Void Beacon stops enemies’ life regeneration and lowers their chaos resistance, increasing our damage output.
Withering Presence
Withering Presence is crucial as it not only increases our chaos resistance but also gives us more chaos damage and slows nearby enemies down.
Profane Bloom
Profane Bloom is the bread and butter for how our clearing will work with the build by allowing us to create some juicy explosions out of packs of enemies as we speed clear the maps!
Unholy Authority
Unholy Authority allows us to apply another curse & makes us able to curse hexproof enemies!
BANDITS
As with most summoner builds, you will kill all of the bandits, as they provide no significant gains worthy of sacrificing the skill points.
PANTHEON POWERS
As in most builds, Pantheon selection comes down to a matter of personal taste. I love adding the upgraded Arakaali Major God to reduce DoT damage taken.
I tend to lean towards the Shakari Minor God pantheon to mitigate Chaos Damage as it is a resistance very few builds bother to consider.
