ASCENDANCY

The optimal way to play this build leaves very few choices when it comes to the Ascendancy nodes, which I will cover in this section of the guide.

THE PREFERRED SET-UP

The ascendancy nodes are listed in order of importance and are presented in the path you’ll need to travel to access them.

Bane Of Legends

Bane Of Legends is a massive chunk of damage that can carry you through levelling.

Brutal Fervour

Brutal Fervour gives us the legendary slayer overleech and can help a lot with sustain for both levelling and mapping, the node before it gives us the leech we’re looking for.

Headsman

Headsman Slayer Cull is, and has been extremely broken since its inception, it will help with longer boss encounters and give you a decent chunk of mobility & attack speed for clearing just to top it off.

Overwhelm

Overwhelm makes sure we have good critical strike chance regardless of our base weapon, and means we don’t have to focus on critical strike chance on the Thicket Bow if we decide to go for a Rare. As well as this, it can give a sizable chunk of Critical Strike Multiplier given the right conditions.

Once we acquire Brittle from the boot implicit, we can instead pick up Masterful Form , this ascendancy can become quite powerful if we pick up frenzy charge nodes and invest into endurance charge generation, this can be done through many different approaches, one of which being Enduring Cry . Doing this would give a decent chunk of defence.

BANDITS

You will kill all of the bandits, as they provide no significant gains worthy of sacrificing the skill points.

PANTHEON

Finding a way to get freeze immunity is essential in this build, this can be done through the Pantheon choice of Soul of the Brine King with Soul of Puruna, the challenger.

Getting Soul Of Lunaris for chain avoidance can be useful once you have some freeze avoidance from boots, implicits, and body armour enchant. We have quite a few totems down at any given point. Beyond this its purely down to personal preference, regardless of which you go for, make sure to use your Divine Vessel and upgrade them as they give huge defence when utilised!
