Lightning Conduit Elementalist Build Guide (PoE Lake of Kalandra 3.19)
Introduction
Due to the latest balancing changes, we do not recommend playing this build anymore, as it does not meet the high standards we apply to our guides in terms of fun and performance. We are leaving it up as a reference and it might be revived in a later patch.
Here we have a new skill just released in 3.19 that has turned out to be a ton of fun to play and has been Very smooth to level with Lightning Conduit ! It is cheap and easy to start with and can scale very well with currency invested! In this build guide we go over a League Starter friendly budget version that will carry you well into Red Maps and early end game bosses with minimal investment while you save up for a higher budget version of this build or another!
Build Overview
In this section I will outline the pros, cons, & the general play-style. This will allow you to determine if the build is for you or not!
Pros
+ Smooth Leveling – One of the smoothest Leveling experiences I have ever had
+ League Starter – The build requires a few cheap specific Unique items to function well in the end-game, so it works very well as a league starter build.
+ Unique Play Style – You start by using a skill to apply Maximum shock then Explode them with Lightning Conduit!
Cons
– Unique Play Style – Due to the nature of this build’s play-style, it is a build that not everyone will find enjoyable
– Upgrades Get Expensive – If you want to take the build to it’s highest potential the upgrades get VERY expensive
Playstyle
For bosses, this build is very straight forward: you cast Storm Brand and connect that with Lightning Conduit to chain shock and damage the boss. If you need a bit more damage you can throw on a Conductivity curse
When it comes to clearing maps it’s even easier!
- Your Storm Brand will shock everything and your Lightning Conduit will make them pop, Rinse and repeat. It gets even better once you upgrade to an Inpulsa's Broken Heart and Storm's Gift setup!
Damage Scaling and Defensive Layers
The build focuses on Getting the highest shock value we can (65%) and then stacking Lightning Damage and Penetration to really make our enemies feel the pain
Defensively we go for a hybrid of high Armour and evasion with a decent life pool, you still need to pay attention and try to dodge as many mechanics as you can.
PoB. Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
The PoB community fork created by Localidentity is the only version being kept up to date, so make sure you have the correct version: PoB Community Fork.

Ascendancy, Bandit & Pantheon Recommendations
You can read about the recommended Ascendancy, Bandit choice, and Pantheon Power recommendations for this build on our dedicated page.
Leveling
Leveling is very smooth, we use Stormblast Mine until we gain access to Storm Brand, and Storm Brand until we gain access to Lightning Conduit
For detailed Act by Act skill trees and gem setups check out the PoB
Once we get Lightning Conduit we will use Storm Brand and Orb of Storms to shock our enemies and Lightning Conduit to blow them up.

Final Notes
As much as I love making build guides, it is very crucial in a game like Path of Exile that you play the game the way you enjoy playing it. With that said, if you’ve made any tweaks to the build compared to what I’m showing in this guide I would love if you’d posted it in the comments! It’s an effective way to show other approaches and it helps me grow as a build guide creator!
I hope you found the build guide useful and I wish you all many Divine Orb drops!
