TbXie's Divine Ire Elementalist Build Guide (Poe Necropolis 3.24)
Due to the latest balancing changes, we do not recommend playing this build anymore, as it does not meet the high standards we apply to our guides in terms of fun and performance. We are leaving it up as a reference and it might be revived in a later patch.
Disclaimer
Because a lot of people generally fall prey to misconception and false understandings of what build’s goals, opportunities & possibilities are, I’ve made it a goal to be as transparent as possible about this. Whilst being able to be played on probably a much smaller budget, this build was only play tested with things like a Headhunter, a level 4 Empower Support, Oriath's End and what not. This means you generally will require 50-60 Divine Orbs to piece this puzzle together. However, once pieced together, the build plays incredibly smooth due to its layering of mechanics which makes it very durable whilst being able to put out high damage and high AoE Clear.
Introduction
Divine Ire is an interesting skill, which has a great possibility to scale which is what has been done in this build. Through combining conversion, armour, endurance charges, Divine Flesh and so on grants you a character which is almost impervious to one shots with obscene recovery meaning it’s capable of standing still in the midst of packs of monsters as long as its channeling Divine Ire. This makes it one of the most satisfying characters you can play in that regard.
Build Summary
Pros and Cons
Pros
+ Incredibly satisfying
+ Uses some gimmicky fun things
+ High defenses
+ Great clearspeed & decent single target
Cons
– Channeling Skills are not for everyone
– Vine playstyle takes a bit of getting used to
Map Modifiers to be Avoided
Things that hurt your recovery are problematic. This means, No Leech, No Regen, Reduced Recovery, .. as you rely on those to recover your mitigated Damage.
Playstyle, Mechanics & Strengths
The mechanics of this build are plentiful, but I’ll try to explain as concise as possible. Firstly, the build uses Ralakesh's Impatience. This item is incredibly strong, as it allows you to scale charges without having to care for means to generate them. This build runs 5 Power Charges, 3 Frenzy Charges and 4 Endurance Charges to abuse those to a maximum. Additionally, Incandescent Heart & Divine Flesh converts 75% of Incoming Elemental Damage to Chaos Damage. Through Divine Flesh, a Maximum Res Shield and two copies of Born of Chaos small cluster notables. This combines to 11% additional maximum Chaos Resistance, allowing to mitigate 75% of Elemental Damage through 89% Chaos Resistance. Lastly, Bastion of Elements gives you a huge Damage-buffer to deal with that Elemental Damage. Because of the pretty big amounts of Armour, Endurance Charges and Flasks Setup, you reach very solid Physical Mitigation as well, making the character really tanky.
That being said, the Damage isn’t absolutely crazy without a Headhunter. Whilst not needed, whatsoever, in almost any normal scenario, it sure helps versus super-juiced maps with incredibly tanky Rare monsters. Although, almost all of its buffs help the build massively, so if you can grind one, I would definitely still recommend grabbing it for maximum amounts of fun.
Passive Skill Tree, PoB, and Gem Links
You can find an optimized Path of Building here. Every build I release will use the community fork of Path of Building, which is maintained and updated in a much more regular fashion than the original one. You can find PoB’s Fork, by LocalIdentity, here.
If you are not comfortable with Path of Building, PoePlanner’s website offers you a non-PoB alternative to import the code from the above link. Do note that this does not have the same amount of Support as Path of Building has and it is highly recommended you install Path of Building to follow builds most optimally.
More information about the Passive Skill Tree, as well as all the Gem Links can be found on our dedicated page.
Ascendancy, Bandits, and Pantheons
Our Ascendancy, Bandit, and Pantheon Power page goes into detail about all the choices you need to make in these regards.

Questions & Support
I made it a habit to check all comments in my guides on a daily basis. Obviously, there might be occurrences where getting a reply might take longer but I really do try to get back to you as soon as possible. I prefer you making remarks, suggestions or asking questions that way as it allows others to read through the comments, providing them with a potential answer to their question, without having to wait for me again. If I have somehow missed your question, you can try reaching me on our Discord.
If you enjoy my content to such an extent that you’d like to support me and my work, I have a Patreon you can check out. At no point should you feel pressured to contribute, but if you do, your support means more to me than you will ever imagine.
Leveling
I highly recommend levelling this build as a different type of character. We can recommend a Wave of Conviction to level an Elementalist.
