Ascendancy (Witch – Elementalist)

Mastermind of Discord

Exposure is the one of the strongest buffs in the game. Further amplifying it, is generally incredibly strong. Make sure you have a source of exposure when you do your first lab throughout campaign.

Heart of Destruction

Heart of Destruction gives you conditional benefits. The first being more AoE clear whenever you’re mapping and the second being a good amount of Boss Damage when fighting a Unique Enemy. These buffs are really strong and are therefore our second Ascendancy Pick.

Bastion of Elements

Generally I like to pick this last, but since the last notable is a hinging on some lategame upgrades, I would argue picking up Bastion 3rd here is a solid choice. Bastion gives you further Elemental Damage mitigation where you might still be needing it, further building your incredibly tanky witch.

Shaper of Storms

Shaper of Storms is an enabler for a lot of builds as in it grants builds so much unconditional damage. Increasing Shocks, especially for harder fights is one of the best ways to actually be dealing damage to bosses. Therefore, once all other pieces of the puzzle are in place, inflicting max shocks on big enemies is a huge win.

Bandits

There really only is one option here. You want to kill all for Skill Points. Sure, getting some Resistances and Mana Regeneration from Alira isn’t terrible as a league starter but capping resistances really isn’t an issue on this build! Eramir just offers so much flexibility that it almost always is better than the others!

Pantheons

Major God

No debate here, Soul of the Brine King. This needs to be upgrade to active its immunity to freeze as its your only freeze immunity source.

Minor God

I personally always pick up Soul of Abberath here and upgrade it to be immune to burning ground cause burning ground is super obnoxious to deal with.

Upgrading your Pantheons

Pantheon powers can be upgraded by using Divine Vessel in the Map Device while you are activating the particular Map that contains the boss you need. Once you’ve killed the boss and captured his soul, you can consume the Divine Vessel, which’ll show up filled in the map device, or deliver it to Sin in Oriath for extra dialogue relating to the game’s lore.
