Since the higher budget versions are using other configurations they are separated from the low budget PoB, it is highly recommended to new(er) & casual players alike to stick to the low budget PoB first before moving into the following 2:

Leveling Progression

Depending on if you’re playing Hardcore or Softcore, you will have to adjust your route depending on the quality of gear you’re able to obtain. For example, if you have lots of Life and Resistance from drops you get during the Acts, you can focus on taking damage-providing nodes over the defensive ones and vice versa. The links below are trees that should fit in almost any situation no matter the drop RNG.

Masteries

A lot of the masteries available come down to a matter of personal preference but some are more or less mandatory.

Life Mastery: It’s important to pick up the “+50 to maximum life” This mastery should be picked up as soon as possible.
Reservation Mastery: “Auras from your Skills have 10% increased Effect on you” This will help scale our auras efficiency.
Mana Mastery: “12% increased mana reservation efficiency of skills” Only way we’re able to use all our auras!
Minion Defence Mastery: “Minions have +8% to all maximum elemental resistances” Very effective mastery helping our utility minions stay alive.
Shield Mastery: “+1% chance to block attack damage per 5% chance to block on equipped shield” This will help us reach as high block chance as possible.

Leveling gems & links

The initial page in this guide goes through different leveling strategies but as soon as you have access to the transfigured gem you can equip it and level with mage skeletons like no tomorrow!

Amulet anointment

In my opinion there’s really only one solid option to oil for this build, that is the Death Attunement node, this requires the following oils: 1x Clear Oil1x Crimson Oil & 1x Silver Oil.

6-Link Mage Skellies

Most important support gem for clearing is to make sure we have Pierce together with any of the extra projectile providing support gems in the low budget build I strongly suggest using Volley outside of this we have to make sure we utilize Spell Echo as they are casting their spells:

Vaal Summon Skeletons (Normal skeleton gem works but a Vaal version is vastly superior)
Spell Echo Support
Pierce Support
Volley Support (This gem is meant to be swapped out for Hypothermia Support for optimal single-target damage)
Minion Damage Support
Predator Support (You can switch this gem for Minion Speed Support or Controlled Destruction Support for better clearing and back to Predator for bossing)

3-Link Trigger

This setup is best used with a bench-crafted weapon for the modifier “Trigger socketed spells when you use a skill.” This is to automate the Bone Offering buff we get to reach higher block chance. We also have a Desecrate to enable corpses for our Offering spell. We do link these 2 with a low level Lifetap support as we are going to minimize the pressure we have on our mana-pool.

Make sure to have Desecrate before Offering in the sockets counting from the top socket
