PoEVault's Lacerate Gladiator Passive Skill Tree and Gem Links (PoE Settlers of Kalguur)
Path of Building
Find our recommended tree from the comfort of Path of Building, available here:https://pobb.in/fx8ziaBwSuiO
Make sure you actually open the link here IN the Path of Building program. The website view is poor and will obscure too many details, always open PoB’s in Path of Building (or PoB as we call it).
Medium budget can be found here:https://pobb.in/Bl0LF-zU3FIB
We use the Path of Building Community Fork for all of our builds, which is highly recommended. If you are encountering errors importing the build, please ensure you are using the Community Fork.
High budget can be found here: https://pobb.in/PF-iHsDeiwAL
I need to stress though, that this is only for people who really like lacerate. The build’s main strength is, and will always be, league start. But if you really enjoy it and you want to stick with it, this is what I would do.
For the people interested in taking Lacerate entirely too far, there is charge stacking. As that variant was entirely solved by streamer Ronarray, I see no reason to make a PoB for that and instead refer you to his video guide for charge stacking.
You can find the vide here Ronaray Charge Stacking
Passive Skill Tree
The most essential keystone is Resolute Technique, which offers a permanent solution to accuracy at the expense of no longer being able to critically strike enemies. Bleeding ticks cannot deal Critical Strikes, which makes this keystone even more well-suited to this build than most.
The second essential keystone only comes into play after Merc Lab, when we swap to shield, is Versatile Combatant. This reduces our maximum chance to block attacks/spells by 10 but causes us to gain spell-block equal to 2% per 1% overcapped chance to block attacks. Essentially it allows us to get spel lblock through large amounts of attack block.
The third essential keystone is Blood Magic. This removes all mana from our character entirely and causes any and all costs to be paid, and reserved, on our life bar. This solves our mana problems entirely. We get around the “no aura” problem through Eternal Blessing Support.
Gems
Lacerate is our main skill and the only 6-Link necessary to incorporate into the build. It works perfectly fine with both 1-Handed and 2-Handed weapons, but we prefer 1-Handed axes by default. The aura we run is Pride. This is our only aura.
Other links are relatively flexible and they mostly consist of buffs.
Lacerate 6-Link
You can opt for either Melee Physical Damage Support or Ruthless Support — they have relatively equal damage output, our preference is Melee Physical Damage Support as feel it is a little less restrictive in playstyle.
- Lacerate swap this for Lacerate of Haemorrhage as soon as possible. It is just a straight up upgrade.
- Volatility Support
- Brutality Support
- Fortify Support
- Cruelty Support
- Melee Physical Damage Support
Aura 2-Link
Nuke 1-Socket
- War Banner – This now slowly builds, so we only use it on tanky targets
Mobility 4-Link
Utility 2-Link
- Enduring Cry – We only use this to generate endurance charges now
- Urgent Orders Support – This is to speed up EC cast time
Utility 1 Link
- Blood Rage Stick this wherever you have an open socket
1 -Socket Mobility
- Frostblink – Keep this at level 1
Utility 4 – link
- Cast when Damage Taken Support – keep at level 1
- Purifying Flame – keep at level 1 we use this for Consecrated ground
- Cold Snap – keep at level 1 we use this for chill to reduce action speed of things we’re fighting
- Molten Shell -keep at level 7 to stay in line with CWDT
