Passive Skill Tree, PoB, and Gem Links

Progression Advice

You can check the leveling trees in the Path of Building for an idea as to where to path first. I however strongly recommend you play a levelling skill until +- L80.

Gem Links

Penance Brand – Main Link (6-Link)

Penance Brand’s base damage scales fairly hard with gem levels! Try to pick up a 21/20 as soon as possible. Since your Awakened Gems are mainly ailment-based, they’re really potent and generally fairly cheap! Keep that in mind when thinking about purchasing them.

1. Swiftbrand Support

So, first of all, you should swap Awakened Unbound Ailment Support for Swiftbrand while mapping. You will have plenty of Damage that way. On bosses, swap it again for the Ailment Support.
When you’re doing purely single target bosses (Exarch, Eater for example) the Ignite Proliferation can be swapped out for Awakened Burning Damage if you can get a white socket, or for Combustion should you not have access to a White socket. However, at this point, when you’re making this swaps, you should be doing content so hard that a single white socket through Harvest Bench should be easily acquirable.

Auras

The build runs a lot of Auras, but 4 of them have to go in your Helmet. Again, take note of the fact that this only works if you have a The Devouring Diadem.
In the helmet

1. Malevolence
2. Herald of Purity
3. Determination
4. Herald of Ash

1. Vitality (L8)

This is an aura on a button, you have to press it to activate it for a duration. Keep it up!

2. Divine Blessing Support
3. Inspiration Support
4. Increased Duration Support

Curses

1. Elemental Weakness
2. Flammability
3. Wave of Conviction

1. Arcanist Brand
   You don’t have to use Arcanist Brand, you can manually press three buttons before fighting a boss. I just think Arcanist Brand is nice. If you use Arcanist Brand, make sure to spam some brands after a bit to refresh your Ignite as it will do more damage.

Buffs & Utility

1. Flame Dash
2. Vaal Molten Shell

If you drop the Vaal Molten Shell, you can use one of the new “Empty Socket Bonusses” from the new Ascendancies in Affliction.
